The Administrative Court in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, rejected the lawsuit filed by Zamalek club president Mortada Mansour against the official Ramez Majnoon program. The ruling stated that the court confirmed that it had seen on some of the program’s episodes, and did not find anything that harms Egyptian national security, or incites violence and discrimination, “as requested by the lawsuit filed,” according to the Egyptian website, Yalakura.

The court indicated that the program is nothing more than an artistic work, in which the presenter exercises some humor with the guest, and that the episode is almost never finished, except that the guest has authorized all that he was exposed to.

The verdict added that the movements and actions that fall within the program must be considered in their artistic context and should not be loaded more than their normal size.

The Court reaffirmed that it is normal for artwork to diversify to satisfy all tastes and perspectives, which is consistent with the essence of freedom of expression.
