At the end of March, SVT Sport was able to reveal to Stina Nilsson to leave cross-country for biathlon. The 26-year-old later confirmed the news. The long-term goal is the Beijing 2022 Olympics.

- I am grateful for the solution because I want to be saved with the very best, Nilsson told SVT Sport when she was presented as one of the skiers in the biathlon A-national team.

But the former sprint star does not appear to have released cross country skiing completely. According to Expressen, she has signed a three-year agreement with the ski club IFK Mora, the club she previously competed for.

- It may be that she plays guest in some races sometimes, when it fits in the calendar. It depends on how things are going for her in the biathlon and what the competition schedule looks like, ”the club's chairman Tomas Bredberg tells the newspaper.

- We are especially looking at the SM, that she may be able to participate in some individual race and the relay. But she has her focus on biathlon, it's number one.
