Icelandic Hafthor Bjornsson set a new world record for deadlift lifting by lifting 501 kilograms this Saturday at an event held at Thor's Power Gym.
"I am happy, in shape, it is a good brand and in front of my family and friends. I could have raised more, but for what," said Bjornsson, also unleashed by his role of Gregor Clegane character , 'The Mountain' from the Game of Thrones series.
The quest to be the first person to lift more than half a ton was broadcast live to everyone. Bjornsson, recognized as the world's strongest man in 2018, broke Britain's Eddie Hall record of 2016 .
