The spokesperson for the Committee on the Status and Transfer of Players in the Football Association, Counselor Yaqoub Al Ali, confirmed that after the press statement issued by the Football Association for the return of sports activity in August, the contracts of national players that will expire next June at the end of the current season 2020, will be extended until the end Actual season after the extension, indicating that for foreign players whose contracts will expire in June, the clubs must negotiate with these players to reach an agreement regarding their continuation.

Yaqoub Al Ali told Abu Dhabi Sports Channel regarding the registration periods for the players, according to the regulations on transfers by the International Football Association and the regulation on the conditions and transfers of players in the country, there are two registration periods, the first 12 weeks and the second four weeks. Al Ali indicated that the Football Association will coordinate with the Professional League regarding the beginning and end of each registration period.
