On Tuesday, French Prime Minister Édouard Philippe announced that French football was suspended because of the corona pandemic.

Now, the French League Organization (LFP) also confirms that Paris SG, who led Ligue 1 when the game was stopped, is appointed French champions. PSG topped the table with 12 points ahead of Marseille.

Lorient also takes home the league title in Ligue 2.

"We have decided that there will be two upgrades and two downgrades," said Didier Quillot, CEO of LFP, at a press conference.

- This means that Amiens and Toulouse will be moved down and Lorient and Lens will be moved up. There may be appeals, but our decisions are firm, he continues.

In Amiens you will find former Östersund player Saman Ghoddos.

Quillot also says that LFP has until May 25 to announce Uefa which clubs will qualify for the European tournaments and that the next season of Ligue 1 will start on August 22-23.
