Just over a month ago, SVT Sport was able to reveal that Stina Nilsson left the cross country team to invest in biathlon. Today, the former league captain and national team manager Rikard Grip were presented as the new secretary general of the biathlon association.

- It just shows that we are a very attractive bunch. I think we are a very good group, the whole association really. Swedish biathlon is on the rise and we have a very good trend and nice wind in the sails, says Hanna Öberg and smiles.

- That more people realize that biathlon is fun to keep up with and be associated with and work with - I already know that before.

Think that Grip has a lot to contribute

Öberg, who has been the sport's big Swedish star in recent years with both Olympic and World Cup gold, believes that Grip has a lot to contribute.

- It feels exciting. I get a positive feeling. What I have heard about Rikard is he is a very driven and committed leader and has a lot of experience. He comes into a league and national team which is a very good group and we really work to develop all the time. It is such a, more overall, responsibility he will have.

"Feeling Recovered"

For Öberg, training for the next season has now started.

- I feel motivated and ready to go. We have started the training already and I feel recovered and eager to make a good exercise year.
