It will always be a few euros less on the very salty note of the epidemic for the Union Bordeaux-Bègles. And above all it is a very nice gesture of solidarity from the supporters of the club. In a joint statement, four supporter groups (Burdigalas, UBB Angels, United BB and the Ovalians) asked subscribers not to request a refund for this season despite the end of the regular season.

Their own members have already decided to give it up. “Our players showed us their solidarity on the field (UBB was the leader of the Top 14) by bringing us happiness throughout the season. It is up to us to send them back this strong value of rugby. This is also our role as supporters ”, they explain. A call welcomed by club leaders on social networks in the image of Laurent Marti, the president.

The Bordeaux-Bègles Union, like other clubs in the championship, finds itself today in great financial difficulty due to the cessation of the Top 14 with the epidemic of Covid-19. As a reminder, the ticket office represented last season 15% of the UBB budget.
