FIFA proposed Monday that the teams be temporarily allowed to make five substitutions during the match, instead of three as usual.
FIFA said that the idea will help deal with the accumulation of league matches, amid attempts to complete the season within a short period of time after stopping due to the Corona virus pandemic.
FIFA added in a statement that the proposal should be approved by the International Federation Council, and the final decision will be taken in coordination with the rest of the competition organizers.
He continued, "Each team will have the possibility to use five substitutions during the match with the possibility of adding another substitution if the match extended for additional time if the conditions allow that."
