In his Twitter account, Garpenlöv highlights Boustedt's many merits.

“With a little reflection on the previous week, it feels incredibly sad that T Boustedt ends. He has meant an incredible amount to me as a hockey player, coach and leader! ”.

Garpenlöv seems to worry that Boustedt will leave a void behind him when he steps down from his position by October.

"I do not think that in Swedish ice hockey we have understood what we have lost."

Tommy Boustedt left last week leaving his post. In a press release, he motivated why.

“The past year has been a lousy time for both the federal office, and obviously for me personally. Therefore, after a period of discussion with the board, it has emerged that this is the way forward for both me and the union. "
