In his Twitter account, Garpenlöv highlights Boustedt's many merits.

“With a little reflection on the previous week, it feels incredibly sad that T Boustedt ends. He has meant an incredible amount to me as a hockey player, coach and leader! ”.

Garpenlöv seems to worry that Boustedt will leave a void behind him when he steps down from his position by October.

"The one who meant the most"

"I do not think that in Swedish ice hockey we have understood what we have lost."

Garpen leaves close:

“In my opinion, T Boustedt is the one who has meant the most to Swedish ice hockey of all time. The impressions he has made since taking office are unique. From being a mediocre ice hockey nation to being an example that all other nations are looking at and want to learn from. ”

Leaves after "lousy time"

Tommy Boustedt left last week leaving his post. In a press release, he motivated why.

“The past year has been a lousy time for both the federal office, and obviously for me personally. Therefore, after a period of discussion with the board, it has emerged that this is the way forward for both me and the union. "

A triumphant conflict with the Women's Crowns, where players went on strike in August for feeling discriminated against, was recently followed by a police investigation on suspicion of sexual assault involving a person connected to the union. And in the same vein, a noted dismissal of an employee has caused several hockey profiles to protest.

SVT Sport has previously reported that there are allegations of gender-discriminatory pay and contradictions between management and unions.
