Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the planned lavish gala in Las Vegas had to be canceled. Instead, the team met virtually this year to in turn order young, promising players. Coaches, players and fans had to connect digitally from home to follow the three-day procedure.
"I cannot be more proud of our efforts and our collaboration with clubs, league staff and our sponsors to execute an effective draft and share an unforgettable experience with millions of fans during these uncertain times," NFL base Roger Goodell writes in a statement.
The total seven rounds were broadcast on Thursday, Friday and Saturday on ESPN, ABC, NFL Networks and via digital channels.
