Werder Bremen has assumed that they need to raise money to save the club and that is why the players have chosen to pull their straw to the stack.

- It is clear that it is very negative that this is the case with the economy. It is a nice and unique association that I obviously hope to play more for in the future, which is why I signed on two years ago. I talked to friends from Werder Bremen and we players who have contracts have teamed up and chosen to remove part of the salary. If everyone does a small part, it will eventually be a bigger help, says Felix Beijmo, 22.

Beijmo represented Greuther Fürth during the spring, but in the future there is an alternative to returning to Bremen where he has a contract until 2022.

- I try not to think too much about the future. It is a very special situation. Not many clubs are sitting and chasing new transfers now that there are many economies being hurt. Right now, it's best for me to focus here. I get to take it with my agent then and talk to Greuther Fürth and Werder Bremen. Everyone should be involved in a decision, he says.

The national team backer Ludwig Augustinsson also plays in Werder Bremen.
