The Secretary-General of the Football Association, Mohamed bin Hazam, stressed the keenness of the Football Association headed by Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, President of the Federation, and members of the Board of Directors, to optimize preparation for the country's hosting of the tenth edition of the West Asian Federation Championship scheduled for January 2021.

Bin Hazam said in a press statement: “We are delighted that the tenth edition will witness the participation of all teams under the umbrella of the West Asian Federation for the first time in the history of the championship that started in 2000, which confirms its importance and value to the member national federations, as well as the media and the masses.”

The Secretary-General praised the great efforts made by the West Asian Federation through its keenness to hold football tournaments for teams in various groups, including youth, men and women, and women's activities, as well as specialized courses and workshops for footballers.

The Football Association continues its coordination meetings with the West Asian Federation to find out the main aspects of the tenth tournament, where a videoconference meeting was held yesterday with the participation of Bin Hazam, Khalil Al-Salem, Secretary-General of the West Asian Federation, Abeer Al-Rantisi, Director of Competitions, and Ibrahim Al-Nimr, Assistant Secretary-General for Technical Affairs , Head of the National Teams Support Department, Hassan Fahd, and Abdul Razzaq Al-Kaabi from the General Secretariat of the Federation.

The meeting discussed the championship list and the obligations of each party, as well as marketing and media matters, and others.

The meeting also touched on the current health conditions that the world is witnessing and the efforts made by all countries of the world to confront the emerging Corona virus.
