The Tunisian Football Federation, the rival Union Monastir, has announced that its former goalkeeper, Moncef Tabqa, died at the age of 76.

On his Facebook page, the Monastir federation mourned his former guard and said: "With great regret and sorrow, we have received the news of the death of the deceased, God willing, the former guard class of the Monastir Federation and the Tunisian national team."

He played a class with the Monastir Federation between 1963 and 1973 before moving to his arch-rivals, the coastal star with whom he crowned the Tunisian Cup and the Arab Maghreb Cup in 1975.

The second goalkeeper class in the Tunisian national team from 1968 to 1975 was behind Sadiq Sassi (Atouqa).
