According to Japanese Kyodo, in a press release, the IOC has stated that Japan's Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, has agreed to hide all extra costs for the public, where the IOK referred to a contract.

So far, neither the organizer nor the IOC have communicated any figures on costs for the Olympics being postponed. However, Japanese Kyodo News has claimed that it may amount to as much as SEK 30 billion.
