Kendall Coyne became the first woman to compete in the NHL's skill competition when in 2019 she got the chance after Colorado's superstar Nathan MacKinnon was forced to refuse due to injury.

There she challenged the world's best and fastest Connor McDavid in just speed. The 27-year-old's time was impressive and echoed in the hockey world.

- When you are first with something, a lot of nerves and thoughts come. But when you are first, it also opens doors for others. When you are a woman and girl in hockey you are told that you are not good enough, do not shoot hard enough, do not go fast enough and that it is not fun to watch. But when we join, they see that we can play, says Kendall Coyne Schofield in SVT's Hockey Night.

145 kilos on the back

During this year's all-star weekend, new ground was broken when 20 women participated, ten outdoor players from two nations, in a three-on-three game.

The 27-year-old is 157 centimeters long and weighs 59 kilos. But during quarantine times, Coyne has been shown what sheer control she possesses.

It is currently rolling pictures of Kendall Coyne lifting his boyfriend, 145-pound NFL player Michael Schofield, on his back.

- It's not something I often do, it's because of the quarantine, but my speed clearly comes from my strength in my legs. And it's called hockey robbery for a reason.
