The Endesa League Extraordinary Assembly, which was held electronically this Monday, has set the roadmap for a possible return to the fields after the break due to the coronavirus. If this were the case, a tournament would be held at a fixed venue, still to be determined, in which the top 12 ACB qualifiers would participate.

Divided into two groups of six, in a single match, the first two of each group would qualify for the semifinals, from which the two finalists of the competition would emerge, who would play the title of the best of five matches. The 20 Endesa League clubs have unanimously approved this procedure, as EL MUNDO has confirmed.

Barcelona, Real Madrid, Casademont Zaragoza, Iberostar Tenerife, Retabet Bilbao Basket, MoraBanc Andorra, Valencia Basket, Kirolbet Baskonia, Unicaja, San Pablo Burgos, Herbalife Gran Canaria and Joventut de Badalona would be the teams that will contest the unprecedented resolution of the highest national competition . The other six (Baxi Manresa, Monbus Obradoiro, Coosur Real Betis, UCAM Murcia, Montakit Fuenlabrada and Movistar Estudiantes), end the course, although the Assembly has also decided that there will be no drops.

A final resolution has not yet been taken on whether there will be promotions from the LEB Gold, although a scenario with 20 teams for the 2020/2021 season is not ruled out.

May 31 is the date that the ACB has set to make a final decision on the resumption - which would be June 15 - or the definitive cancellation.
