Reigning World Time Trial Champion Rohan Dennis released a photograph and message on Saturday that he boasted of having skipped confinement. "The Covid-19 can suck my ass. And the quarantine too," the Australian published on his social networks, which soon afterwards closed.

The Girona-based Team Ineos rider uploaded a photograph from his car to his Instagram account accompanied by a conclusive announcement: "Day 34. Quarantine was broken." After the immediate reproaches of many of his followers, Dennis did not hesitate to engage in some risque conversation. "If you don't like it, don't follow me," he snapped at one of them.

A few hours later he decided to cancel both his Instagram and Twitter accounts. For the moment, Team Ineos, which in recent weeks had asked the Tour de France to take precautionary measures for the next edition, has not offered any response.
