According to the same source, the virtual marathon aims to "encourage individuals to exercise from their homes during the stone period, raise awareness of the importance of sport, and adopt healthy lifestyles at the global level."

The Qatari marathon provides participation for unisex from all over the world, and registration is still open even after tomorrow, Monday, through the "Sport Live" application.

According to the same source, the participants will receive electronic certificates once the race is over, and the results of the Qatar 2020 Virtual Marathon will be announced via the application next Wednesday.

The head of the Commercial Affairs Unit of the Qatar Olympic Committee Abdul Hadi Mesfer told Al-Jazeera Net that the race is open throughout the next Tuesday only at any time, and its data will be recorded through the smart watch.

Mesfer explained that the smart watch records everything, such as the start and end time of the participant in the race, the distance covered, and even the calories lost and pulse during the marathon, things that can not be changed at all.

He said that after the completion of the marathon, the contestant should send the recorded data on the announced application with its number, and the organizing committee will monitor the best times and announce the winners of both sexes.

Mesfer stressed that the goals of the marathon are to spread sports awareness and encourage people to play sports in their homes, not only in Qatar but the whole world, where any person anywhere can participate in the marathon through the application.
