Muhammad Jabr told «Emirates Today»: “We are in favor of any decisions or recommendations issued by the Football Association or the Professional League, but it will remain the opinion of Ajman Club to cancel the league competition in order to preserve public health, and avoid any disruption to the competitions next season.”
A club board member attributed this requirement to the fact that the clubs are not financially affected until the end of next May, because it has a budget obtained from the relevant authorities, but the inevitable harm will be incurred if the competition is extended to next September.
He explained: «In that case, the clubs will be required to manage an additional budget that is not few, to cover the salaries of players and technical equipment during that period, and this is not easy to achieve, in addition to that the decision to extend the competition will make the clubs fall at the mercy of the players, to require them to extend their contracts during the three months that It will be added to the football activity. ”He continued:“ Basically, the players are required to sign for longer periods when the clubs want to sign them during the summer transfer period, so how will the situation be and we are negotiating with them during that period to stay three months?
