Ahmed Fathi had refused to renew with Al-Ahly after 12 years he spent with the league title holder in a surprise of high caliber, so Fathi joined Abdullah Al-Saeed next season, but after the current season is completed with the Al-Ahly shirt.
The official Pyramids account on social media first welcomed the contract with Fathi, saying "It happened with the image of the Joker and the star Ahmed Fenhi", and then he issued his official statement through which he announced the completion of the deal. Fathi will appear in the Pyramids shirt after the end of this season.
It is worth noting that it is not the first time that Ahmed Fathi Al-Ahly leaves after joining Al-Ahly from Sheffield United in 2007, as the Joker player left the Red Fort my first time in 2013 when he moved to Hull City for six months on loan.
