The organizers of the International Champions Cup held a statement confirming the cancellation of the next version, which was scheduled to be held during the summer period in the United States of America, and thus the cancellation of the summer Clasico, which would have brought the Spanish poles of Real Madrid and Barcelona teams.

The statement emphasized that: "The outbreak of the Corona COVID-19 virus" pandemic was behind the cancellation of the next edition of the International Champions Cup, including the famous El Clasico between the Spanish soccer poles, Real Madrid and Barcelona, which was scheduled for next summer.

The statement pointed out that the period during which the tournaments were scheduled to be used may be used to end local and European competitions, which were stopped in recent weeks by the "Corona" virus, which necessitated the cancellation of the International Champions Cup, and the meeting of the Clasico, which was to gather Barcelona and Real Madrid similar to what happened in the summer of 2017.

And the spread of the "Corona Virus" virus last February imposed the suspension of all international leagues, which finally prompted the "Relevant Sports" company, which is organizing the International Champions Cup in the United States of America, to take a decision not to establish the next edition this summer.
