The Bauhaus Gala, the annual Diamond League stop in Sweden, has set August 9 as the target date - something that remains even after today's message.

- This with specific weekends for national championships is something that World Athletics is about to introduce but it has not really settled yet. Therefore, we must wait and see what happens with the competition calendar in the future. I think flexibility is the key word, ”says Jan Kowalski.

So their decision today doesn't have to be a shock for a Bauhaus gala on August 9?

- We don't know that until all the puzzle pieces are in place. There are so many question marks right now, some countries may not be able to send any participants due to travel restrictions.

Do you expect it to be difficult to attract international names?

- If it is possible to travel, I do not think it will be difficult to attract them. It is rather the political situation that will be the limiting factor.

Your target date is August 9, but what do you have for plan B?

- In that case we can look at the weekends that are in August, but it is crowded in the calendar and right now the European Championship is still at the end of August. If it gets off, people will want to sharpen the mold before it. I think everyone must have the attitude to be very flexible this year, ”says Jan Kowalski.
