During the Thursday, Pierre Mignerey, chairman of the international ski association Fis, said there will be a special season this coming winter.

And big star Therese Johaug is the one who has the best conditions to handle the situation. In any case, her personal trainer, Pål Gunnar Mikkelsplats, believes that Johaug has experience of the uncertain.

- These are very special times, but Therese is an expert at training in the uncertain, he tells Norwegian VG.

"Nobody is better prepared"

All Norwegian national team collections before the summer have been canceled and the riders must train for themselves or in small groups.

But that should not have affected Johaug's motivation, says manager Jörn Ernst. She continues to exercise twice a day.

- No one is better prepared for this than Therese. She has been involved in it before, having to manage on her own, says Ernst.

Ready for the worst

Johaug has already mentally prepared for the upcoming season to be canceled.

The season start is scheduled for November 27 in Finland.

- It is not certain that there will be any season this coming winter, but Therese is motivated as if it will be lost. If a month or two hopefully, the picture will succeed, but it is good to prepare for the worst, says Mikkelsplass.
