Nîmes Olympique footballer Renaud Ripart donated three jerseys to the Nîmes University Hospital. These are to be won during a raffle organized online, via a prize pool open on a crowdfunding platform, managed by the CHU.

On Facebook, the attacker published a video explaining his gesture. “Staff are on the front line. We must pay tribute to them, explains the footballer. That's why I decided to win three jerseys. Everyone puts what they can or wants to give. Three people will be drawn from among the donors ”.

Forty people placed in intensive care in the Gard

The money thus collected must be used to finance respirators for the resuscitation service of the Nîmes teaching hospital. But also personal protective equipment for nursing staff, on the front line against cornavirus. "Three generous donors can thus be offered a jersey, directly by Renaud Ripart himself during a training session to which the winners will also be invited," details the CHU.

One hundred and thirteen people are currently hospitalized in Gard establishments. Among them, 43 are placed in intensive care. The CHU of Nîmes welcomes in particular patients transferred from Grand-Est establishments.
