The PSG, through its foundation, launched an online call for donations platform to continue "helping caregivers and the most vulnerable populations" in the face of the health crisis linked to the coronavirus pandemic, a announced the club on Wednesday.

Future donations recorded on the HelloAsso platform, partner of the initiative, will be added to the 217,500 euros already collected by the Parisian club thanks to the sale of 1,500 collector jerseys "Tous Unis", and the donation of 100,000 euros for the benefit of Secours Popular French (SPF).

According to the press release, the donations will be devoted "to the priority needs" of 100,000 caregivers in Paris hospitals (AP-HP) via grants for accommodation and transport, delivery of meals, equipment for rest rooms, or communications equipment.

Another part of the funds raised will also help the association Action contre la Faim to finance "hygiene kits and food aid for more than 5,000 people in difficulty", announces the PSG.

OL had brought 300,000 at the end of March

"Depending on the amount of donations collected, the PSG can support any other project related to the fight against the coronavirus epidemic, through its endowment fund," said the club.

Another French club, Olympique Lyonnais, announced at the end of March financial support of 300,000 euros for the fight against the Covid-19, which left more than 10,000 dead in France.
