Djurgården, together with AIK, Hammarby and Brommapojkarna, will host a pre-season tournament that starts on April 18 and ends on May 24.

This is to get ready for the damall Swedish season which is still aiming for a start at the end of May / June.

- Yes, that's right. We are still working on that plan, says Elite Soccer Women's Secretary Tomas Hoszek to SVT Sport.

- As long as you can run a business and get to compete, we will start the series. If it means it will be without audience then it will be so.

"We need to play matches"

The recommendations from the Public Health Authority are that matches can be played if the number of spectators is limited and if it does not mean too long trips for the team.

Despite this, the Swedish Sports Federation has refrained from all matches, while the Swedish Football Association lets the local districts and clubs decide for themselves whether to play training matches.

- It is said that you get to play training matches and that is what we relate to, says Jean Balawo, sports director for Djurgården's ladies, to SVT Sport.

- If you look at our situation we have played 90 minutes in the Swedish Cup and 60 minutes against Linköping. Otherwise, we just trained. We need to play matches, that's it. I imagine it is the same situation for the other clubs.

"We can shut people out"

The matches have been placed in arenas such as Stockholm Stadium and Grimsta IP where you have the opportunity to close out spectators and avoid crowds.

- Our guidelines are that the clubs may only bring their player squad and necessary leaders. There will be no audience. We will try to broadcast the matches so that people do not stand and hang on the fences.

What do you plan if a lot of people show up?

- Most matches are played at Stadion where no unauthorized players come in. Same with Grimsta. We simply have to shut people out. For example, we do not play on Stadshagen's IP where it is open to the public.

Do you manage to keep you below the limit of 50 people in total?

- We are still sketching this so we can talk about it together. For example, we may not need ball girls. But if we notice that this can't be done with less than 60-70 people, maybe we can think about this one more turn and investigate if it really is worth it. But such a decision must help a confederate make, says Jean Balawo.
