Umeå IK has been incredibly successful in the 2000s. The club has won seven Swedish Championships and has taken home the Swedish Cup on four occasions.

For the past three seasons, however, Umeå IK has played in the elite. Today, the club would have played in the highest series again, at home against Rosengård.

- It's obviously boring. We had been looking forward to this day for a long time, a special day for us who had taken us back to the damall swan. It would be a party, and also fun to meet Rosengård at home, says Umeås team captain Fanny Hjelm-Rönnlund to SVT Sport.

- When you do not know what they look like in the next few weeks, it becomes difficult to upload. We have been driving as usual until yesterday, we have trained seven workouts per week. We have had a hard time, which a preseason should be. With our short-term leave, we have 16 days off, you can work out on your own and be with loved ones. Then we meet again and start a new pre-season.

"It's really weird"

Emma Berglund plays everyday in Gothenburg.

- It's really weird. It feels like the pre-season has been on for almost six months. We still don't even know when to find the shape to be in top shape. But right now you have to take it as it comes, everyone can do it. It's not just about the sports world, but everyone in the world is in the same situation, ”says Berglund.
