In the beginning of April, the Allsvenskan should have started. But due to the corona crisis, the series start is postponed to the beginning of June. But with the decision to ban meetings of more than 50 people, it can make it difficult for the clubs to play training matches before the premiere.

- We are sitting and watching right now how to relate to the new guidelines, what opportunities and obstacles exist. We are in the process of obtaining a picture, but we are not yet on target, says Svante Samuelsson, sports manager of Swedish elite football (Sef).

Do you think you will be able to continue playing training matches?

- We don't know yet. The guidelines came only an hour ago and we are trying to gather some key people how this can affect us. We have played training matches without a crowd, but there have certainly been more than 50 people. We will see if it is possible to handle the matches with less than 50 people, but we are not there yet in the decision.

Valid from Sunday

The decision that Prime Minister Stefan Löfven (S) presented at a press conference today comes into force on Sunday. Anyone who violates the ban can be fined or imprisoned.

- We need to make a quick decision to come out with guidelines for our clubs, says Svante Samuelsson.

The interest organization Sef has previously communicated that they want to play allsvenskan in front of the audience. But with today's message, the trend is instead towards more restrictions being made in society.

- We must take it step by step and week by week like everyone else. We have set an intended start date in early June to have something to relate to. Then we have to conform to the guidelines of the authorities like everyone else.
