On February 29, MLS was kicked off. But it was only possible to go two rounds before the season had to be interrupted.

The corona virus has paralyzed the United States and New York is severely affected.

For Anton Tinnerholm in New York City FC, it is a surreal situation.

- It's very quiet in town. I have never seen New York like this and it will never be like this in the future either. They have said that you should not go out more than necessary. It is clear that this is a serious situation, says Tinnerholm.

- New York is probably the most affected state in the United States. They have closed down schools, shops and everything like that. What is open is grocery stores and there is a queue so you can go in one by one. At the same time, there is no panic, people are out and about. It is not a panic state. We're pretty bored here. Going to the store is the highlight of the day.

How are you?

- We are fine, there are no problems. But you get a little worried about everyone else, you have seen pictures from hospitals and things like that. You get a little aggravated by the situation.

"Rather it goes the other way"

President Donald Trump wants to open up the United States for Easter. How does that sound?

- Then it has to improve drastically. Rather, it goes the other way. It changes hour to hour, we will see what happens. It's no idea to speculate on that.

He also does not know what the season will be like. At the moment you only have to exercise one by one.

- There are different messages every other day, it is the uncertainty in all this that is the worst.

How are the discussions about league starts?

- We have a training ban and that has been postponed three or four times. Then the idea is to extend the season and record in December. But the main thing is that we take care of each other and sort out the storm that is blowing now.

"Give me a ball"

He trains at home using online videos and does yoga with his wife. The club has sent him some training equipment.

- I miss the football a lot. Give me a ball and I can run as much as I can.

What is it like not being able to watch football?

- I've seen SVT's World Cup chronicles, otherwise it's not so much. You get bored, but there are those who have it very bad so you have to have respect for it.
