Chinese football is set to return to life with club training starting this week, although there are still unanswered questions about the expected date for the start of the Premier League, which has been postponed due to the Coruna virus.

And Chinese clubs began to return to training last Monday, two months after the date that would have seen the start of the 2020 season on the 22nd of last month, but there is still a need for some time before the start of the new season.

Despite thinking previously about the competition starting in mid-April, the positive result of the test of former Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini over the Corona virus may delay the date.

The football activity in the whole region was halted due to the epidemic, and Japan decided to postpone the Premier League until May 5.

But regardless of the date, the players and coaches have returned to the stadiums in China to prepare for the kick-off.

"We trained a little and our focus was on strength and adapting to the atmosphere," Shanghai defender Yu Hai told the Shanghai TV station after his club's first training on Monday.

"This is the first day we will return to training, and the strength will definitely increase gradually," he added.

"We are professional players, and we should be able to overcome any difficulties we face. I am confident that with the efforts of everyone in the club, we will be able to unite together and pass this difficult period."

All 16 Chinese league clubs returned to the country, while the Chinese team, which was camping in the UAE for the postponed World Cup qualifiers, moved to Hainan Island in southern China.

Television pictures from Maran showed that players should be left with each other during training, to prevent any possible spread of the infection.

Sebug's coach Vitor Pereira and the rest of his aides did not join the training, while still in a state of self-isolation after returning to China, in a routine procedure for foreign coaches and players returning to the country.

However, some players are still out of the country, with the competition not widely expected to start in mid-April.
