Anthony Joshua did not want to take any risks. The IBF / WBA / WBO heavyweight world champion has placed himself in quarantine after recently taking part in a rally where Prince Charles, who tested positive for coronavirus, was also present.

"AJ has been at home since the containment measures decided by the government, he is well and he is in good shape," a boxer spokesperson told the British tabloid The Daily Mail . "He wishes everyone affected a speedy recovery and gives a huge thank you to all the workers on the front line," added the spokesperson.

Defense of his titles in June

Prince Charles, heir to the British crown, tested positive for Covid-19 and has mild symptoms, his services announced on Wednesday. On March 9, he attended the Commonwealth Day religious service at Westminster Abbey, a service which also included the Queen of England, Prime Minister Boris Johnson and stars of sport and variety, including Joshua .

The boxer must defend his heavyweight belts against the Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev on June 20 in London. Unless the coronavirus pandemic comes to question this meeting.
