On Tuesday, the Japanese organizer and IOK announced that the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics in the summer will be moved one year ahead to probably the same time 2021. The International Athletic Association, World Athletics, has flagged to move the Athletics World Cup, scheduled in Oregon 6-15 August 2021, to 2022.
The European Athletics Championships in Paris are scheduled for August 25-30 and the European Athletics Association has instructed the local organizer on an "immediate and detailed feasibility study for the event".
Previously, the U18 European Championships in Rieti, Italy, July 16-19 have been canceled.
The European Athletics Association will have a video conference on the championship May 7-8.
