Dortmund writes that the clubs that have played in the Champions League this season will waive the national media revenue, around € 12.5 million, and add another € 7.5 million.

"We are prepared to help other professional football clubs if it is ultimately about dampening the financial impact," says Dortmund's CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke in a statement.

Dortmund knows what it's like to fight for his survival. In 2005, the club was close to bankruptcy. Then Bayern Munich came to the rescue and offered advantageous loans so that the rival could pay the player salaries.
