SVT Sports expert Anders Blomquist is upset over the situation with the Swedish Ski Federation where two men's coaches have quit and three women stars are considering leaving the national team according to Expressen.

- Yes, it is quite obvious that the chaos and structural misery that the Swedish Ski Federation has had in the last year has affected the work of the leaders and and the active.

What do you say about the information about the women's team?

- I think the whole situation is tragic. Such a fantastic sport as skiing and so many good and nice people who are here. It is deeply tragic that we have the situation we are in right now.

"Requires a good deal"

Blomquist now wants to see change - and that quickly.

- If you do not make any changes regarding leadership, I am very, very worried. It takes a lot of time. This funnel must be cleaned from the top.

Why has the ski association ended up here?

- For me, it is very clear that there is no clear leadership in the ski association. It is not an environment where people grow and develop, but it is messy, it is here and there and it is dishonest. It is an environment that makes people not want to be left behind.

How bad is it?

- It is absolutely devastating for Swedish skiing. For me it is urgent. In the first situation now is because we have many key people who do not choose to work in the ski association. Since then it has been acute for several years as we are so poor at developing juniors to become good men's seniors. We must not have more lost years.

Want the Board to act

Now Anders Blomquist wants the board to act.

- The board, and by extension the clients of the board, must take clear responsibility. This is how we cannot have it in Swedish skiing. We must have representatives who stand up for change and stand for what happens and take responsibility for when it does not work.

They are recruiting a new national team manager. What can a person there mean?

- Daniel (Fåhraeus) is not part of what has been, he is a new force. It depends on who you recruit for that role.

Strömberg does not agree

Federal Director Ola Strömberg disagrees with Blomquist's criticism.

- I don't agree with all the parts he says. And there are a lot of different parts that I don't think are right, says Strömberg to SVT Sport.
