As the corona virus sweeps through the world, sports have shut down. An exception was made today when the band finals were played at the Students in Uppsala. In Norway, even organized training is not allowed.

- The whole world talks about corona. We take it seriously, but it's nice to think of something else, Selbekk tells Norwegian VG.

There were several reasons why the bandy finals were conducted - though without an audience.

- The clubs agree that they want to play, and it was a decision that was made after the government announced the restrictions (max 500 people in a crowd). The position is also based on the fact that bandy is an outdoor sport and that this is the end of our season, the bandy association's chairman Per-Anders Gustafsson told SVT.

No bandy finals in Norway

In Norway there was no final game that would have been decided last weekend.

- We perceived the situation as so dramatic that we chose to cancel the season. We didn't take any risks. We did not want a development where it was tracked that someone got sick from playing. Gaming with us was never relevant, says Norwegian Secretary-General Tomas Jonsson.

Norway is the country in the Nordic region with the most confirmed cases, of which seven are dead, and since March 16, the country's preschools, schools and universities have been closed. Exceptions are made for children whose parents work in health care.

Hairdressers, massage parlors, tattoos and similar activities are closed, as are all organized sports. Healthcare workers have a ban on travel.

All Norwegians are encouraged to work from home.
