On Tuesday, UEFA will meet to discuss whether it will be a football European championship this summer. At the same time, the board of the International Hockey Association meets to discuss whether or not to decide the hockey World Cup.

This is depicted in a special program which will be broadcast on Tuesday at 20.30.

- Sport has always been a haven for people and communities in tough times. When the economy is in crisis, when communities have collapsed or when evil has struck, we have turned to sports. This time, however, the sports world is also affected and sports can therefore not be the meeting place of people in a time of crisis. But that's why it feels extra important to us at SVT Sport that we monitor, describe and inform about what is happening right now in different ways. This program is part of that work, says Åsa Edlund Jönsson, SVT Sports Manager.

The program will also look forward to this year's biggest sporting event, the Tokyo Olympics, which also risks being canceled or moved forward.

The program also addresses the audience's questions and talks about national sports and how this affects both federations, clubs and the public.

The sports mirror special: sports and corona will be broadcast on Tuesday at 20.30 in SVT2 and in SVT Play.
