In April, Three Kronor would play more national matches before the hockey World Cup in Switzerland. But now, together with the countries concerned (Norway, Denmark and Finland), Tre Kronor has decided to suspend the national matches. The reason is the spread of the corona virus and that the government decided to limit meetings with over 500 participants. How it is with the World Cup in Switzerland, the International Hockey Association (IIHF) has not communicated than when the board will meet on Tuesday.

At the same time, the Swedish ice hockey association with the leagues concerned has chosen to postpone SHL, hockeyall Swede and SDHL. It is currently unclear whether the series will resume or how it will be with up and relocation between SHL and the hockey general Swan. Hockey Association Chairman Anders Larsson yesterday told SVT that decisions need to be made by December 20.

- This is a whole new situation that nobody has been prepared for at all. We realize that we cannot continue with players. In the meantime, the elite committee will look at different situations. We have set a limit for March 20 when we need to make a decision, said Anders Larsson, chairman of the Swedish Ice Hockey Association to SVT Sport.
