British press reports said that Liverpool will be declared the Premier League soccer champion this year, even if the season is decided to end early due to the Coronavirus.

The Premier League was suspended until April 3 at the very least, and many questioned whether the league would resume, but the British newspaper "Telegraph" reported that coach Juergen Klopp's team could crown a champion even if the competition ended.

The newspaper said that the proposed plan is to escalate the two best teams in the English Premier League, Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion, so that next season the Premier League includes 22 teams, with five teams to land in the 2020-2021 season of the Premier League.

Liverpool currently top the English Premier League 25 points behind their nearest competitors, Manchester City, and need only six points to be crowned the title.

The crisis stems from the absence of items in the Premier League list that determine the mechanism for selecting the team crowned with the title in the event that the season ends before its due date for any compelling reason.
