There are still a few places where soccer plays around the world, but not always for the best. The Porto Alegre derby in Brazil ended Thursday in the most total confusion, with four expelled each for Grêmio and Internacional, when they met in Copa Libertadores.

The game, in Pool E, ended on a 0-0, but especially on a general fight. The first expelled, at the very end of regular time (88 and 89th), were Pepê and Da Rocha Neves on the Grêmio side, and Edenilson and Barbosa on the International side.

A big general fight broke out between the players of Gremio and those of the International Cup of Libertadores 👊🤕

Argentine referee Fernando Rapallini thought he had cleaned up his expulsions when the scramble started again, this time involving the replacements for the two teams.

Have seen red in turn, during game stoppages (90 + 5 to 90 + 7), Miranda and Henrique for the Grêmio, and Cuesta and Conceiçao Praxedes for the Internacional. It was the 424th “Grenal”, one of the most intense rivalries in Brazilian football.
