The best among the Russians was Alexander Loginov, who took sixth place (274).

The Kontiolahti stage was the last in the calendar of the Biathlon World Cup after the cancellation of the stage in Oslo.

Earlier Loginov supported the decision to end the season ahead of schedule because of the coronavirus.
