In Europe, many major championships, tournaments, leagues and matches have been postponed or canceled due to the corona virus.

Even in North America, a lot of that product has been around lately. For example, both the NHL and the NBA have postponed their leagues, and in Canada both the women's ice hockey World Cup and figure skating World Cup have been canceled.

Expecting games

On Saturday, the Curling World Cup is scheduled to start in Canada, in the city of Prince George in the province of British Columbia.

On site there is the Swedish national team, represented by the reigning Olympic and European gold medalists Lag Hasselborg. They expect to play as planned.

- So far we have not heard from the World Curling Federation that the World Cup should be canceled. We are in Prince George. The local recommendations are monitored and followed, and here in British Columbia, there are only about 50 infected, states SVT Sport Federation Maria Prytz, but adds:

- But we know that everything can change quickly.
