It looked like Villa Lidköping would comfortably win the first semi-final match. After 92 minutes played, the home team led by 4-2. First, Bollnäs reduced to 4–3 on penalty. Minutes later, Villas Johan Esplund scored his second goal of the match at 5-3.

But Bollnäs managed to create a nerve when Jens Wiik reduced to 5-4 after 94 minutes played. After a dramatic ending, Villa Lidköping was able to hold out and win the first match of the semi-final series. The next match will be played on Monday.

- First of all, it is Bollnäs that is good. They have a match tempo in them, while we are a little rusty and very eager. Then I think we take over completely, says Villa Lidköping's coach Johan Sixtensson to Bandypuls.
