IIHF cancels women's hockey World Cup in Canada due to coronavirus

This was announced by the head of the IIHF Rene Fasel, whose words are conveyed by TASS.

The teams from Russia, the USA, Canada, Finland, Switzerland (Group A) and the teams of Japan, Germany, the Czech Republic, Denmark and Hungary (Group B) were to participate in the competition.

The tournament was to be held from March 31 to April 10 in the Canadian cities of Halifax and Truro.

It was previously reported that IIHF is not going to cancel the 2020 World Cup in Switzerland due to coronavirus.
