Al-Ahly of Egypt qualified for the CAF Champions League semi-finals after drawing 1-1 with hosts South Africa's Mamelodi Sun Downs in Pretoria in the second leg of the quarter-finals today, Saturday.

Al-Ahly, the record holder in winning the title eight times, reached the semi-finals by winning 3-1 in the total of the first-leg matches, to avenge his 5-0 loss against the same opponent in the same round last year.

Al-Ahly progressed in the 21st minute when the ball hit a free kick by the Tunisian, Maaloul, at the foot of defender Lepuhang Mapoy, to save his nets, by mistake, while the home side scored a tie four minutes later via Gaston Sereno.
