Kei Nishikori, a tennis player aiming to return to the tournament, has practiced in front of the press for the first time since his right elbow surgery was performed last October.

Nishikori has been selected as a member of the Japan national team to play against Ecuador in the Davis Cup, a national and regional competition for tennis men to be held in Miki City, Hyogo Prefecture on June 6 and 7 this month.

Nishikori, who entered the venue before the tournament, showed his practice to the press for the first time since the surgery on his right elbow, which had been injured last October, on October 4.

Nishikori continued rehabilitation and practice aiming to return to the tournament after the surgery, and on the 4th he consulted with the coach of the national team and carefully checked the form of serve.

National team coach Satoshi Iwabuchi will hold a press conference to announce whether Nishikori will participate in the match.

With this Davis Cup, Japan will be able to advance to the finals in Spain in November if they win three out of five matches in Ecuador in singles and doubles.
