The exemplary suspension of the Chinese swimmer Sun Yang (8 years old) by the Sports Arbitral Tribunal made people happy. This is the case of Chad le Clos, the 200 m butterfly Olympic champion in 2012. In an interview with the Eye Witness News , the South African swimmer said he had long suspected that Su Yang was doped.

“It is absolutely no surprise to me. He failed two tests in 2014. We all knew he was a dirty swimmer, he said. It's not just me who knows, it's the whole community of swimmers. Finally, he is punished ”. The swimmer also believes that the Chinese stole the gold medal in the 200m during the Rio Olympics in 2016.

A thought for all those who have arrived behind him all these years, and who have been robbed of their podium, their anthem, their moment of sharing and glory. https://t.co/SEETa3ccdW

"I deserve this gold medal"

“I was far ahead 50 meters from the finish of this race, but Sun Yang passed me. He's the only man who did that, and that says it all, he continued. I broke the national record (South African), the African record and Sun passed me as if I had stood still in the last 25 meters, which is incredible. I think whoever came in ninth should be rewarded with eighth place. I think whoever finishes seventeenth should be awarded sixteenth place and, of course, I think I deserve this gold medal. ”

For his part, the triple Olympic champion said through the voice of his lawyer that he refuted the charges against him. "That day, the CAS turned a blind eye to the rules and procedures, turned a blind eye to the facts and the obvious, and accepted all the lies and false evidence," said Me Zhang Qihuai in late February.
