It's a busy week for Swedish ski star Ebba Andersson.

This weekend, the 22-year-old showed fine form in the World Cup where she challenged the sovereign Therese Johaug and was only 3.4 seconds behind the Norwegian as second in Lahti. From there she went to the U23 World Cup in German Oberwiesenthal where she came as a favorite.

And the Swede did the job when she won the milestone in the classic style with a good margin, 24.8 seconds ahead of Norwegian Marte Mæhlum Johansen.

Emma Ribom, gold medalist in sprint earlier this week, was able to match Andersson for a long time but eventually had to give up against the national team and also against Johansen and finished third, 30.2 seconds behind Andersson.

For Ebba Andersson, another distance race awaits in the U23 World Cup, a mass start over 10 kilometers in freestyle on Thursday, before it carries off to Holmenkollen and the three-mile in the World Cup on Saturday.
