At the end of January, the Ministry of Sports suspended VFLA state accreditation until March 1, 2020, after which the full presidium of the federation was dismissed. On February 28, at the extraordinary VFLA election conference, Yevgeny Yurchenko was elected the new president of the Federation.
Earlier, Matytsin expressed hope for an early restoration of VFLA authority in Russia.
