In the SM, the men's competition also functions as an Olympic qualification competition. A qualifier in which Oskar Rozenberg Hallberg, Karl Berglind and the young Hampus Winberg are the Swedes who are closest to qualifying for the skating Olympic premiere this summer.
Before the men's final, the women's final was run where Maïté Louisy won.
- I put everything I wanted in the first ride so I could use the other runs to test stuff. And everything sat, so I was just "wow!", Maïté Louisy tells SVT Sport.
In the men's final it was Oskar Rozenberg Hallberg who took home the victory, and thus took a step closer to the Olympics. But few qualms remain around the world before it is clear who is allowed to go.
- Today it was fun to shoot. Many friends, home course and good events so it went the way. I had good flow, says Oskar Rozenberg Hallberg.
