Al Ain Football Club has taken an official step and sent an official message via the Football Association, to postpone the first team match, scheduled next Tuesday in front of Al Sadd at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium, within the third round of the group stage of the AFC Champions League 2020.

Al Ain Football Club board member Majid Al Owais said that the move to demand the postponement of the match comes in line with the current preventive and control measures in the country with a view to tackling Corona Virus, especially since the past hours witnessed the discovery of two cases around the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium, specifically in the Emirates Tour.

He added: "Media reports recently indicated that a number of Iranian players who faced Al Sadd in the Champions League were injured last week, and due to Al Ain club commitment to all safety measures, we decided to address the AFC to postpone the match and await the AFC response."
